Katana Beats
Katana Beats is an innovative music NFT that utilizes the HybridX token standard. This platform generates unique NFTs based on music attributes such as beats, melody, background melody, and bass.
HybridX Token Standard
Katana Beats employs the HybridX token standard (opens in a new tab) which enables the conversion of ERC20 and ERC721 tokens on demand, providing native liquidity. To create unique beats, users can purchase ERC20 tokens on Uniswap and then mint the NFT on the homepage (opens in a new tab).

Music Metadata
Each Katana Beats NFT consists of 6 different traits including bass, beats, and melody. The combination of these attributes can create millions of unique music assets. The traits are randomly generated during the minting process and stored as metadata.
A web3 webhook provider backend listens for minting transactions. When a minting event is detected, traits are assigned to the token metadata.
Once the metadata is assigned, users can listen to the assigned music by clicking on the NFT image (opens in a new tab). OpenSEA (NFT Marketplace) can access the metadata through our backend server, which provides the metadata and links to the music storage.
When an NFT is converted to ERC20 (burned), the metadata of that token ID is stripped.
